So,it has come to my attention that it has been 10 years since the very first project that I dropped.

When I put out my album Awkward Stage, I was hungry to be a songwriter. I wanted to sing, write songs, do more than just make instrumental music, which I had been doing before learning to be a singer. The problem was that I was incredibly shy when it came to singing. My performance anxiety was horrible, and you can kinda hear it in my old EP, which I encourage you to hear before or after you hear Awkward Grace.

In between time, I wrote more instrumentals, learned to produce music, learned to write better songs, learned to steady my vocals better, I overcame both performance anxiety and a deep depression, recorded multiple projects that you see in between that time, and had my music reviewed on multiple sites, including Afropunk.

I shed my old name Lightning Pill and decided the next step was to just ditch the idea of having an alter-ego and give you unadulterated me. I couldn't have done that WITHOUT going through performance transformations.

Anyway, Awkward Grace is a short EP that I threw together wrapped around the lone Android recording that I didn't throw on my With a Quickness 2 mixtape. It features the most recent songs I had written, and to say this is a slight litmus test to what might come in the future isn't too far-fetched, but I do plan for future recordings to be more "refined" in performance and, hopefully, production. Time will tell.

For now, I am just dropping a 4-song EP to celebrate me having gotten from writing songs in my bedroom at my mom's house to writing in a bedroom at my house. Progression is the name of the game, and I hope you saw that I have made plenty!
