I was going to count this as an unfinished project for my beat tape, but I figured this can stand up well on it's own.

I called it blank fires because it was my way of trying to slow down. Meaning that as a person who loves listening to albums more than I love listening to singles albums, I am hyped to make an album, everytime I start on a new project. But I had to learn to crawl before I walked, so this is my attempt at an album filled with works that may not be cohesive, but showcased my "best" at the time.

As far as the kind of beats, I aimed to make the kind of music that you could listen to on your own, as well as rap, but rather than it being hip-hop breaks and sampling ,this is dark, electronic, new wavey, kind of a bridge between avant-hip-hop and electronica.

The beats are as old as 2013. I hope you enjoy regardless.
