about

End of a Whining Era is two things: an early dump tape (I usually release those at the end of the year) and a goodbye to a habit I tend to have when I sing. I notice that I can be the most insecure when I sing. Probably because I notice I tend to whine, when I really want t optu some kind of firepower or smooth delicacy into my vocals. I'm thinking that this is a barrier when it comes to people enjoying my work.

So, what I did is, on Bandcamp Friday, just give away for free three songs (one of which is an instrumental) with the intent to start on a new project and improve the strength of my singing more. I wrote these songs while working on No Ordinary Summer during the quarantine, and if all goes well, I might let these be demos to be spruced up for future projects to come. I hope you enjoy my songwriting. That will also be strengthened, even though those who listen had no real complaint. ;-)

End of a whining era. Less New Found Glory, more Luther Vandross.
